Ethical Briefing - Pharmaceuticals

14 December 2017

Ethical Screening is pleased to announce the release of our latest Ethical Briefing Paper, which covers the main concerns associated with the pharmaceutical industry, with reference to emerging issues, recent studies, and initiatives to identify and promote good practice within the sector.

The briefing highlights key sector risks such as those relating to product responsibility and access to medicine, which have potential impacts on both consumers and wider society, particularly for those in developing countries. Other business activities include embryo research, animal testing and the use of biotechnology, which present further ethical concerns. We also discuss the approaches that pharmaceutical companies can adopt to better manage and minimise these risks in practice.

Ethical Screening offers independent research and analysis to identify corporate activities which concern the responsible investor, across a wide range of issues from human rights to environmental exploitation and animal welfare.
